it was a neck and neck fight on Elongation. there were no weapons on the map and no grenades on the gamers. shot guns are definately a blast on this map. it was so much fun. we tried to make sure that everyone stayed on top but rigids like a hyperactive child and it was hard for everyone else not to follow suit. to make it super tough i had the boys throw grenades at us while we duked it out on the floor. it was hard, but we managed to keep each other on our toes. unfourtunately it's hard to keep people from being jerks, even your own boyfriend (boy am i talking crap about him today! lol) and when he ended up getting a higher score than slider i decided to give slider another chance.

again, it was neck and neck. slider was giving me a pretty hard time. we had no shields and were jumping around like retards on Foundation. the guys stayed on top but this time the rules were a little bit different. they were to blast us into oblivion with grenades and it didn't matter who won. it was between slider and myself so who ever scored higher in the game was to be the winner. i think rigid had more fun doing this than anyone because he kept killing me the most. bastard! and slider gave me a pretty hard time. he started getting all sneaky like and hiding under the turret area where the rocket launchers usually spawn. by the time i would see him it was too late for me.

just when things started looking dire for me i made my comeback. granted, it wasnt much of a comeback but i was able to hold my own and managed to overtake him once again. i won that round as well by 2 points! hee heeee. that ment another point rollover for me...this game would have been worth 1600 points to slider giving him the lead for the month. unfourtunately it was not to be. slider had to leave us for the night, but a few minutes later juggalo showed.

we did some more clan matches and then i asked him if he still wanted to challenge me for the points he wanted. now worth 3200 in total. he agreed and since it was so late and i wanted to make this quick and painless for him i thought i'd make it a fast 5 pt game...

Juggallo 5the game was set in Warlock. this time we let viol8r rig the game. this is what happens when you get cocky people....when you get cocky you lose. and boy did i lose bad! for some reason i thought i'd have a chance to come back from the awful points i practically gave away to juggalo. man was i wrong...it happend so fast i i can barely even remember the weopons we fought with. right, the battle rifles. not exactly my first choice. in fact, i must have been that tired because i'm sure i wouldn't have chosen that gun. i'm horrible with it! and warlock was such a bad idea. there was no way i was going to win this game...in fact i'm starting to think that viol8r did this on purpose! i hate you vi! i lost ALL my points because of this game.

there i was scoring neck and neck with him when suddenly he totally got the upperhand. he was coming at me from angles that i didn't even know were possible....yeah...you know those angles...those sneaky little places where you can't see out of the corner of your eye. those parts where your sure you heard something, you start to turn and then WHAMMO!!! your in pieces on the floor and all twitchy n stuff. well, that was me last night. i swear i wanted to protest because it happend so damn fast, but i had such a headache from before that i just didn't want to argue...that and i had nothing to argue about. juggs won the game fare and square.

so there you go! the champion on July's Prize Giveaway is JUGGALO BRANDON! please help me to congratulate him and tell him what a wonderful cheater he is. LMAO just kidding! he played a great game. hope to meet another one of his challenges soon...course....i have a whole different game setting in mind for the next challenge. ;P woohoo!!!!!!!!!! bring the TUNA bitches!!!!!!

you may have recieved the following message today if your on my friends list AND you have a profile set up on bungie.net....if you didn't it's cause your already a brood member!

never used this thing before to contact gamers. usually go through my site, but i'm trying out something new! i'm going to start giving out points to people on my friends list. i've been running my site for 3 years now....well since xbox live came out and it's always been a very casual and fun environment. i give out prizes to a few of my friends every once in a while and this year i plan on giving a little something away each month.

so if your interested please join me for a game here and there and have your name automatically entered into my monthly drawing. each time you join me (maharet) or rigid raider your name will be entered into the pot. this means that if i were to play 7 days a week and you got the chance to play with me 7 days that week your name will be entered 7 times that month....got it? it's easy see!

as far as i'm concerned so long as you show your face and ask me to enter your name it shall be done....you never know. i may actually send something other than dirt! LOL

trying to find away to add my gamercard to my site and create a new page to add them to. at the moment i can't seem to get into the system. well, i'm happy with the slide i added to the .net page. if only i had a faster computedr at home. then i could get everything done all at once. ah well. also trying to find a way to add an rss reader to my domain, but it's such a pain in the ass and i'm not about to pay for one either.

will be continuing to add add and modify content on the main page and the group site. .....and i can't wait to get my xbox 360. woohoo!!!

My First Senior Citizen Moment

well, it wasn't because i forgot something. oh no. i went this weekend to chino to visit with my aunt and uncle. rigid has been asking me to take him to for a visit and i finally relented. not that i mind going you know. i love them dearly, but it's hot out there and i usually can't even afford the gas money! lol but we drove down there for a quick visit. i mean i have stuff to do you know. i had points to give away this weekend and challengers to beat...but NOOOOOOO instead i was dragged away (not exactly kicking and screaming) to the racetracks...well okay, it wasn't a race track more like a bookie, but there were giant tv screens with horsies on them!

there i was in senior citizen land. i was surrounded by horny old men who just kept turning around to stare. there are very few women there and the ones that were there, but bent on gaming or really old and loud. i did get to gamble on a few races once i got the hang of it, but what was supposed to be a 1 hr visit to the track turned into about 3-4 hrs of gambling. my aunt only won about 140 bucks but i think she broke even. i think my uncle lost 180 and i lost about 25. i'm not much of a gambler. after my aunt and uncle got tired of losing and i got tired of being ogled and rigid got tired of...well, actually he can yap all day...okay we left for the casino.

so my uncle got a little lost on the way up there and it ended up taking an hour longer than usual who cares. we ate at weiner schintexlllzlll, forget it i can't remember how to spell it, and ate some nice chile dogs. we chatted away and gave rigid all our left overs. he eats like an animal and he's skinny as hell. i'm working on that mind you. lol

we eventually made our way down to the casino. i think by this time it was about 8 pm...exactly the time i expected to be on xbox live. ah well...i took a deep breath before going in there because i knew it would be the last breath of fresh air i'd have for quite a few hours. sure enough as soon as i got in there i was bombarded by cigarette smoke. we probably had only walked a few steps before i was feeling like i was hyperventilating. i started to fan myself in exaggeration and my aunt asked what was wrong. i let her know i wasn't used to the cigarette smoke so much anymore because i'd quit for a bit. i do still smoke on occassion, but only when i have a few drinks.....so my aunt hands me a cigarette and said, "here, take it. this way you won't feel it as much." and we cracked up laughing our asses off. she's right of course. as a smoker i know that when your bothered by crap loads of people smoking around you it's never quite as bad when your smoking too. don't ask me about that logic it only makes sense to us. LOL

rigid and my uncle had stayed in the parking lot to have a couple of beers. (wow lol) i eventually caught back up with them while they where at the bar. that's when rigid and i decided to go to the poker tables. i just can't play on those stupid slot machines. they're no fun anymore so i thought i'd try my luck at a poker table. well...there was no texas hold'em tables... only blackjack and a bunch of other crap i didn't know how to play. but since we took money out we decided to go for it. he started to play some strange ass poker neither of us had played before. i wasn't even going to try. i was dubious about the black jack tables as it was! ah well. rigid played well...that is well in the sense that he went in with $95 (because i bought a drinkie) and played for about 3 hrs. that game was hard as hell and there wasn't exactly much strategy to it so it was really awful. i never played a single hand but they let me sit at the table. it's obvious that the dealers talk crap loads to distract you from winning but rigid was pretty good at that so he played most of his hands about as well as you could play them imo. but in the end he lost it all and we were left with a lot of nothing. no big though cause i got to spend time with my uncle and his brother. i drank and drank the rest of the night all the while being serenaded by this old hag with a beautiful voice. she was drunk as hell and somehow managed not to slurr while singing. lol i got to sneak off a picture of the moment but was quickly told to put my camera away. no pics in the casino...what's this fucking world coming to???

omg...we finally went home around 1 in the morning, but my uncle and rigid were hungry to we stopped off at denny's to eat. we had so much fun! my uncle and i were laughing at rigid and my aunt cause they were trying to get a stuffed toy out of a machine (you know, the claw thingy's) and were making fun of them for trying so hard. never did we think that they would pull it off. it was so funny watching them do it...i should have taken a picture! but they showed us cause my aunt yanked out a stuffed star with a little bear on it. it was so cute. and after we ordered the waitress even gave us a discount because rigid was in the army...i think she got confused and thought he was american army though i'm sure i heard rigid tell her it was british army. no matter. we got a discount anyway. how nice was that?

so there you are. my first senior citizen moment with my aunt and uncle whom i love very dearly. i had such a great time that day. i can't wait to do it again...only this time i don't want to lose 140 on gambling....oh oh...and i'm going to vegas for my honeymoon..ooooi, that's not a good idea. OH! i didn't even mention that rigid wanted to take out another $100.00 to play on blackjack. he swore he could make the money back...wow, i was a little tipsy too, but my finger just flew up to his face as i walked away. LOL hee heeee... what fun.

New Web Page!

New Web Page!
well there's a new domain out there for maharets brood. i'm quite pleased actually because i've been meaning to get one started for a very long time now so this is really exciting. :) last night i created a whole new web page for it on front page. i've always wanted to work with front page but it's alway proven to be a pain in the ass, but for someone without web building skills it comes in really handy.

it took me about 45 min to create the page i needed and another 15 min to add all the links....i downloaded it to my server and voila!...nada. ai! i need to go back and fix all the flle names and redo all the buttons and hyperlinks. argh!!!! what a dummy. ah well. live and learn. i should also add labels to everything in case something like that ever happens again....it's like navigating a webpage like a blind man.

Brood Challenge

ooh, well there are only a few updates on the message boards so go and check them out all at once.

at the moment i only want to highlight the current challenge between Max of Maharets' Brood and Me....Maharet. on friday max is going to challenge me to 1000 of my points. all i have to do is win the first challenge and he's S.O.L! i double up on my points! but if he wins all three challenges i lose 1000pts and he'll be on his way to winning this months prize.

i'm so excited that i can't wait. my challenges with juggalo and slider were really fun last month but this time i'm hoping it will be a bit more organized. i'm even thinking of giving away an additional 200 pts to members who post their version of events on the board....that sounds good too! :)

here are what the challenges are going to be like:

Sticky Monkey Hill
This challenge should be simple. All gamers will play King of the Hill as usual, but Maharet and the vile Challenger will remain outside the circle in order to kill all who enter the Hill. The Spartan with the most kills at the end will win the challenge. Rocket Launcher & grenades only. You are allowed to kill anyone who dares come before you! No other gamer will be allowed to camp outside the circle other than the challengers!
Ring of Fire
Gamers stand in a circle around the round arena (Foundation) and throw nothing but sticky grenades at the pit. You do your best to dodge the grenades and get to Maharet who is hiding in the middle of the pit. 5 kills to win this game but the game itself will be set to 50 kills. If you kill anyone other than Maharet that kill will not count so you’d better be careful not to kill anyone other than me. You can NOT throw grenades yourself. If you kill Maharet with a grenade that point will not count! No shields. Pistols only. This game pleases Maharet Greatly.
The Great Hunt
You are less than dirt…a rouge gamer….a vile betrayer of friends and we must hunt you down. In this game you will stand outside your Red Base and dodge the first volley of Brute Shot. Maharet’s Brood will then wisk her off to hunt you down like the dog you are. You will be allowed to use Brute Shot, Pistols and Grenades but you MUST kill Maharet 5 times to win the game. If Maharet gets to 5 kills first she wins the game. It is the Broods responsibility to keep Maharet from harm. Set to 50 kills.

www.maharetsbood.net is complete. i think i'd like to add the assistant managers to this page though. if i can come up with some avatars i may do that. if not the thubnaim of whatever posted pic i have in the album will do.

ausust scoreboard has been updates with the scores as of yesterdays date.

the wedding board has been updated with pictures of my wedding dress, another wedding dream, and some wedding traditions i was looking into. all this wedding stuff has my head in a whirl...

Woh!!! there's a quiz posted by Max in the Take the Quiz! board...check it out and earn some points!

on the general message board vi'sG has posted a quizilla quiz...must remember to do it.

so far that's all the updates i have. i'll keep you all posted if more information comes up. right now i'm not feeling so well so i'm not planning on posting anything. maybe i'll post something about tonight. it's time for our weekly get together on halo2...time for T.U.N.A. come and eat some my friends!

August is almost gone...Tuna Challenge With ChadHappy B-Day RigidThe Big Numberi think from now on it would be a great idea to let members know where they can earn some points towards the prize of the month. i've noticed it's been hard for some people to figure out how they can earn points and i think this might make things a little less complicated. it's not always fun having to read through all kinds of messages just to earn some points. so i recommend that everyone check here once in a while for updates in that regard. i'm going to leave those posts open until the end of the month. keep an eye out for the updated scoreboard as i'll be updating it periodically till the end of the month. also this next month begins on Tuna Day so lets do our best to show up on time and get a good game night going....since it's the begining of the month i'll let a new challenger take me on for 1000 pts!....maybe i should do it so you have to go through the managers that show in order to get the points! that sounds much better to me.
